The Importance of Prayer

There are many people in this world, some are our own family members and friends, that are hurting and need supernatural strength and peace to get through the day. People encounter things in this world that God never wanted them to go through but because the enemy came in and tried to steal, kill and destroy, they are left to put the pieces of their life back together. It is our job to pray and intercede on their behalf. To allow our Spirit to pray through us so the Holy Spirit; the Comforter, can give them the peace that surpasses all understanding. To give them strength to keep going after a tragedy, and the peace to sleep at night.

God can heal people's hearts, He can heal their minds, and He can make them whole again through our prayers. I'm not talking about prayers that say God let your will be done. I'm not talking about prayers that accuse Him of causing the bad things to happen. I'm talking about praying in the Spirit (praying in tongues) because our Spirit knows how to pray and what specifics to pray for. Our Spirit is directly connected to the Holy Spirit and to God, and so our Spirit even knows when to pray and intercede for someone, so it is very important that we listen closely to our Spirit as it leads us and guides us on when to pray.

Through our interceding, we can also step in and stop the enemy from being able to kill, steal and destroy in another person's life. Prayer has stopped the enemy from causing destruction in people's lives countless times. So when you have a desire to pray and don't know why, don't worry why. Just begin to pray in the Spirit and allow the Holy Spirit to do what needs to be done through our prayers.

Who Has Authority in this World?

When God made man, He made man in His own image and likeness (Genesis 1:26). God also gave man dominion and told him to subdue the earth (Genesis 1:27). When Adam deliberately disobeyed God and listened to satan, he sold out his dominion to satan. When Jesus came, He replaced Adam and did what Adam should have done and Jesus became the last Adam (1 Corinthians 15:35-49), which gave us back our authority (Luke 10:17-20).

God gives us the authority to move the 'mountains' in our life, as well as calm storms to ensure our safety (Mark 4:35-41). Jesus asked the disciples why they were so fearful and asked them how it was they had no faith, because He expected them to take care of the storm. He also showed them how to take care of the storm. Jesus said that those that believe on Him, they shall do the same works He did, and greater (John 14:12). The entire time Jesus was here, He did the work that God wanted done here, Jesus was our example of what we are to do. How do we do it? With the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit lives and continually dwells on the inside of those who have asked Him to. It is the Holy Spirit who works through you to do the same things that Jesus did, and greater. Jesus gave us that right to do those works through His Name.

Don't go another day thinking that everything that happens is God's will, because God gave you the authority to keep bad things from happening by using His Word (Scriptures in the Bible) against the problems and situations that arise. God said His Word shall not return void. Start speaking the Word of God over your life and command the storms to dissipate; not only the theoretical storms, but also the real storms that come with tornadoes and hurricanes. You have that ability, because you have God living on the inside of you! You have the Holy Spirit living inside you and when you step out in faith and do what Jesus said you can do, the Holy Spirit goes with you and makes it happen!

Immediate Healing

I grew up believing that sometimes God heals and sometimes He doesn’t, and we never knew why. However I after I married Micah, he showed me in the Bible that Jesus ALWAYS healed those that had faith to receive. As Jesus says countless times, “Your faith has made you whole” or like in Matthew 9:29: “Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith let it be to you.”

Jesus also said that He came to do the work of His Father (John 4:34), which means that it is God’s will that everyone be healed. (Not to mention a very VERY important scripture; 1 Peter 2:24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.)

Before I say anything else I want to say that it is imperative that you read your Bible, pray, and listen to preachers of faith! It is the way to have a personal relationship with God, and it helps you know who you are in Christ – as well as faith comes by hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17)

Now that I have that established; I feel like God has talked to me lately on the matter of healing. So I want to share it with you!

My husband once said that if you have a million dollars in the bank but went around saying you are broke, it doesn’t change that fact that you are a millionaire (or, not broke).

Well the same thing goes for healing. God already did all He is going to do for our healing (He sent His Son to die on the cross), and Jesus already did all He is going to do for our healing (He died on the cross). Therefore it is up to US to KNOW that we are healed. It is a FACT. The fact does not change no matter how much we do/don’t read our Bible, pray, or listen to CD’s.

Jesus came over 2000 years ago and bore our sickness, pain, and disease so it has already happened! He is not going to do it, He already did it! You are ALREADY healed!

Example: It is a FACT that 1+3=4. That fact does not change no matter how much we do/don’t study math. You don’t have to have faith that 1+3=4, it is a fact whether you have faith or not.

The same goes for healing! Just because the devil comes along and lies by trying to put sickness on us, does not mean that we are not healed. Are we going to believe God’s truth or the devil’s lie?

There needs to come a time where we as Christians arrive at the knowledge of healing and move on to other things that God wants to show us. Not stay in a roller coaster of healing and sickness. We are not as effective as God wants us to be when we are sick and can’t help or be a blessing to those around us. (I am also preaching to the choir right now)

So the next time the devil tries to lie to you and tell you that you have to go read your Bible more, pray more, or listen to more CD’s know that he is trying to make you feel unworthy to immediately receive what God has already given you through grace! It is not for us to be worthy enough, it is for us to have through GRACE!

So go! Read your Bible, pray, and listen to preaching CD’s because you want to have a close fellowship with our Father God and know who you are in Christ! Not because you feel unworthy to receive immediate healing no matter the circumstance! It is because of Grace!

Point Your Gun at the Devil and Shoot!

If I walked up to you and put a big glob of cancer in your hands and said it was yours, what would you do? Would you accept it? NO! You would give it back and refuse it immediately! You would say, "NO, that isn't mine!!! I'm not taking that!"

Well, that's exactly what happens; the devil walks up and hands you whatever sickness or disease he decides and sits back and watches and waits to see your response. Will you accept it? Will you own it?

You see, the criminals get it from their master (satan); they go in all big and bold to try and do whatever they feel like doing, but they can only get away with what they are allowed. The minute someone puts a gun in their face and refuses what the criminals are trying to bring, the cowards go running – sometimes they try harder, but it depends on the will of the person and how much they are willing to put up with from that criminal. Well, your mouth is your gun and your words are your bullets.

The devil just sits back to see what you speak out of your mouth. Are you going to speak out life insurance or sign your death certificate? Who are you going to point those bullets at? The devil or yourself?

If I walked up to you and gave you a dresser, your acceptance would be to tell others you have a dresser. Your ownership would be to call it yours. (My dresser)

Therefore the devil watches to see if you accept it by telling people you have cancer. Sometimes people will even go as far as ownership of the sickness. (My headache, my backache, etc.)

God says that life and death are in the power of the tongue. (A man's [moral] self shall be filled with the fruit of his mouth; and with the consequence of his words he must be satisfied [whether good or evil]. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life]. - Proverbs 18:20-21)

Your life insurance that insures you stay alive is the positive things that you speak over yourself and your life. The negative things you speak over yourself and your life is your signature on your death certificate.

Some examples: "I'd like to have died when they told me that!"  "I died laughing!"  "You scared me to death!" etc.
"I have cancer" "I only have 3 months to live" "I'm always getting hurt" "I always have headaches" etc.

1 Peter 2:24 says, "who Himself (Jesus) bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you WERE healed." Not going to be, not getting healed. You WERE, which means you ARE.

The things that happen on this earth that the devil brings you way are lies, but God's Word is truth. Are you going to speak lies or the truth?

The devil TRIES to put that sickness/disease on you but he can't put anything on you that you don't allow him to. The truth is, you ARE healed.

So if the devil is trying to put sickness/disease on you, or the next time he tries; point your gun at him and shoot!

Loving Your Neighbor

Over the past year I have watched too many people turn on each other at the drop of a dime... or less. Showing no character, no integrity, no love toward their neighbor, and all too eager to tear someone apart because they disagree. (this has nothing to do with anyone who comments on my status' either)

We are here for one purpose; to glorify God... as one body. When we turn on each other and bash those we disagree with, we join up with the devil destroying the very thing that God is trying to build.

God used many non perfect people in the Bible to do His work because the "perfect" people were too busy worrying about who does this right or does that right. God looks at a man's heart, not his outward appearence. He is the one who changes people, not us. He is also the one who promotes people. We are not the judge nor the jury, it is not our responsibility nor right to decide who should do what. Leave that to God.

Let's focus on doing what God puts on our hearts and fight the real enemy; satan. As we fight not against flesh and blood but of principality and powers of darkness. If you find someone you don't agree with (and you will), pray for them. That God will give them wisdom in their endevour and bless them as they grow in knowledge and understanding.

I forward this to everyone I could think of that is or will be used of God because if you haven't had this challenge come your way through people, you may and I want this to encourage you.
We are powerful as a body of Christ, but weak only when we allow ourselves to fight each other.

God is a good God. Let's show the world just how great He is by how we treat one another!

What's Love Got To Do With It?

God calls His children to show love to everyone because He is love. We are to act as our Father because we are a part of Him and He is a part of us. When we show the World love they can see God in us. That is what will bring people to God and HE will be the one to subtlety bring change into their lives as they transform.

Condemnation is a thing of the Old Testament. Jesus came so that we don't have to live under condemnation. He even said in Luke 6:36-38

36 Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful.

37 “Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not
be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. 38 Give, and it will be given
to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be
put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be
measured back to you.” Therefore be merciful, just
as your Father also is merciful.

I have watched lives change so dramatically through the Holy Spirit's guidance as the people were shown love rather than telling them what they needed to change and making them feel that they are not good enough. One of the reasons Jesus died on the cross is because we could never be "good enough" to be a Christian or go to Heaven. People need to come to God just as they are. If we wait around to come to God because we have to fix this or fix that, we will never come to God. We cannot change on our own. We cannot make ourselves be "good enough" to be a Christian. It is ONLY by Grace that we are saved. NOT by works. (Ephesians 2:8) This World is desperate for God but until we get it right by just showing God's love, they will continue to be lost.

Our fellow Christians, our brothers and sisters in Christ should be treated with that same love that God commands us to with the World. Fighting and bickering among Christians is very displeasing to God. People watch us and when they see us turning on each other and fighting it only makes them want to stay away from us. We cannot be a good witness when we are back biting or back stabbing one another. We are held at a higher standard because we are to show the World a Great and Mighty God that loves and takes care of His children. Otherwise, why would anyone want what we have?? If we are fighting as the World does, and our lives are just as miserable as their's, then we have nothing that they want. However, if we become what God calls us to be Overcomers, Victors, and Conquerors who show the World and each other love; then we've got their attention and they will desire to have what we have; God!

I end with these scriptures:

John 13:34-35

34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

1 Corinthians 13

The Greatest Gift

1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I
have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. 2 And though I have
the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and
though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I
am nothing. 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and
though I give my body to be burned,[a] but have not love, it profits me
nothing.

4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not
parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its
own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but
rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all
things, endures all things.

8 Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will
fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is
knowledge, it will vanish away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part.
10 But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be
done away.

11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I
thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For
now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but
then I shall know just as I also am known.

13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is
love.

Suffering for the Kingdom of God

With God you will stand as Daniel did in the lion's den, as David did when he fought Goliath, and as Shadrach Meshach and Abednego did in the fire!

Daniel was never touched by the lions, David defeated the giant with a small sling-shot and a stone lol, and Shadrach Meshach and Abednego didn't even come out smelling like smoke!

Each instance was considered 'going through something' and look at what all they had to 'deal' with... (Daniel) staying in a lion's den with an Angel protecting him from harm and having favor with the King and prospering there after, (David) defeating a giant with a twist of his wrist and having favor with the King and then becoming King, and (Shadrach Meshach and Abednego) standing in a furnace with an Angel protecting them, and was promoted there after!

These men "suffered" for the Kingdom of God! Their "suffering" was not what we think of suffering!!! THAT'S how God takes care of us!!!

So when problems come, you are not 'suffering' for God's Kingdom by allowing yourself to get beaten down or putting up with it. Plow satan over with God's Word!

Basic Principles When Reading Your Bible

Remember that chapters and verses were added later on for easy reference so the scripture you are reading most likely goes with the scriptures around it. Therefore you need to read what it says before and after that scripture.

If you come to a scripture you don't understand, don't try to figure it out with your mind. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you and go back to that scripture at a later date and re-read it.

Last, don't ever assume or guess what a scriptures means. It's better to say that you don't know then lead someone down the wrong path.

Buy a Bible that is easy for you to understand. If King James and New King James are difficult, I recommend the Amplified or New Living Translation.

Wisdom

The most startling thing that we discovered was that the brain cannot give wisdom. The five senses cannot give wisdom. We know that wisdom is the ability to use knowledge to advantage. From whence did this ability come? Then I saw that the recreated human spirit has access to wisdom and certain kinds of ability that the natural human spirit does not have. I saw that love is a product of the recreated human spirit. It was hard for me to realize that the natural human heart cannot produce a love similar to the love of the recreated human spirit. I saw that what we call natural human love is born of selfishness. Natural man is governed almost entirely by selfishness. His ambitions are born largely of selfishness.

Then the question arose, "Why is it that the recreated human spirit has a new kind of love?" The answer was obvious. God recreated the human spirit by imparting His own nature to it. The recreated man has God's nature and ability. Then I understood 1 Cor. 1:30, "Christ is made unto us wisdom from God." I saw that the keynote of Paul's prayer in Ephesians and Colossians was that we might have wisdom. I discovered that there are two kinds of wisdom. There is the wisdom that Satan gives to man; it is a cunning, subtle, devilish type of wisdom. We see it in the world today, manifesting itself in lying, deceit, and crooked dealing. No heathen country has God's wisdom or ability.

Satan is a liar and the father of lies. When he gives to man his ability, it will be a deceptive, dishonest ability. Only in the recreated human spirit do we find God's wisdom and ability.
