The Importance of Prayer

There are many people in this world, some are our own family members and friends, that are hurting and need supernatural strength and peace to get through the day. People encounter things in this world that God never wanted them to go through but because the enemy came in and tried to steal, kill and destroy, they are left to put the pieces of their life back together. It is our job to pray and intercede on their behalf. To allow our Spirit to pray through us so the Holy Spirit; the Comforter, can give them the peace that surpasses all understanding. To give them strength to keep going after a tragedy, and the peace to sleep at night.

God can heal people's hearts, He can heal their minds, and He can make them whole again through our prayers. I'm not talking about prayers that say God let your will be done. I'm not talking about prayers that accuse Him of causing the bad things to happen. I'm talking about praying in the Spirit (praying in tongues) because our Spirit knows how to pray and what specifics to pray for. Our Spirit is directly connected to the Holy Spirit and to God, and so our Spirit even knows when to pray and intercede for someone, so it is very important that we listen closely to our Spirit as it leads us and guides us on when to pray.

Through our interceding, we can also step in and stop the enemy from being able to kill, steal and destroy in another person's life. Prayer has stopped the enemy from causing destruction in people's lives countless times. So when you have a desire to pray and don't know why, don't worry why. Just begin to pray in the Spirit and allow the Holy Spirit to do what needs to be done through our prayers.

Who Has Authority in this World?

When God made man, He made man in His own image and likeness (Genesis 1:26). God also gave man dominion and told him to subdue the earth (Genesis 1:27). When Adam deliberately disobeyed God and listened to satan, he sold out his dominion to satan. When Jesus came, He replaced Adam and did what Adam should have done and Jesus became the last Adam (1 Corinthians 15:35-49), which gave us back our authority (Luke 10:17-20).

God gives us the authority to move the 'mountains' in our life, as well as calm storms to ensure our safety (Mark 4:35-41). Jesus asked the disciples why they were so fearful and asked them how it was they had no faith, because He expected them to take care of the storm. He also showed them how to take care of the storm. Jesus said that those that believe on Him, they shall do the same works He did, and greater (John 14:12). The entire time Jesus was here, He did the work that God wanted done here, Jesus was our example of what we are to do. How do we do it? With the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit lives and continually dwells on the inside of those who have asked Him to. It is the Holy Spirit who works through you to do the same things that Jesus did, and greater. Jesus gave us that right to do those works through His Name.

Don't go another day thinking that everything that happens is God's will, because God gave you the authority to keep bad things from happening by using His Word (Scriptures in the Bible) against the problems and situations that arise. God said His Word shall not return void. Start speaking the Word of God over your life and command the storms to dissipate; not only the theoretical storms, but also the real storms that come with tornadoes and hurricanes. You have that ability, because you have God living on the inside of you! You have the Holy Spirit living inside you and when you step out in faith and do what Jesus said you can do, the Holy Spirit goes with you and makes it happen!

Immediate Healing

I grew up believing that sometimes God heals and sometimes He doesn’t, and we never knew why. However I after I married Micah, he showed me in the Bible that Jesus ALWAYS healed those that had faith to receive. As Jesus says countless times, “Your faith has made you whole” or like in Matthew 9:29: “Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith let it be to you.”

Jesus also said that He came to do the work of His Father (John 4:34), which means that it is God’s will that everyone be healed. (Not to mention a very VERY important scripture; 1 Peter 2:24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.)

Before I say anything else I want to say that it is imperative that you read your Bible, pray, and listen to preachers of faith! It is the way to have a personal relationship with God, and it helps you know who you are in Christ – as well as faith comes by hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17)

Now that I have that established; I feel like God has talked to me lately on the matter of healing. So I want to share it with you!

My husband once said that if you have a million dollars in the bank but went around saying you are broke, it doesn’t change that fact that you are a millionaire (or, not broke).

Well the same thing goes for healing. God already did all He is going to do for our healing (He sent His Son to die on the cross), and Jesus already did all He is going to do for our healing (He died on the cross). Therefore it is up to US to KNOW that we are healed. It is a FACT. The fact does not change no matter how much we do/don’t read our Bible, pray, or listen to CD’s.

Jesus came over 2000 years ago and bore our sickness, pain, and disease so it has already happened! He is not going to do it, He already did it! You are ALREADY healed!

Example: It is a FACT that 1+3=4. That fact does not change no matter how much we do/don’t study math. You don’t have to have faith that 1+3=4, it is a fact whether you have faith or not.

The same goes for healing! Just because the devil comes along and lies by trying to put sickness on us, does not mean that we are not healed. Are we going to believe God’s truth or the devil’s lie?

There needs to come a time where we as Christians arrive at the knowledge of healing and move on to other things that God wants to show us. Not stay in a roller coaster of healing and sickness. We are not as effective as God wants us to be when we are sick and can’t help or be a blessing to those around us. (I am also preaching to the choir right now)

So the next time the devil tries to lie to you and tell you that you have to go read your Bible more, pray more, or listen to more CD’s know that he is trying to make you feel unworthy to immediately receive what God has already given you through grace! It is not for us to be worthy enough, it is for us to have through GRACE!

So go! Read your Bible, pray, and listen to preaching CD’s because you want to have a close fellowship with our Father God and know who you are in Christ! Not because you feel unworthy to receive immediate healing no matter the circumstance! It is because of Grace!

Loving Your Neighbor

Over the past year I have watched too many people turn on each other at the drop of a dime... or less. Showing no character, no integrity, no love toward their neighbor, and all too eager to tear someone apart because they disagree. (this has nothing to do with anyone who comments on my status' either)

We are here for one purpose; to glorify God... as one body. When we turn on each other and bash those we disagree with, we join up with the devil destroying the very thing that God is trying to build.

God used many non perfect people in the Bible to do His work because the "perfect" people were too busy worrying about who does this right or does that right. God looks at a man's heart, not his outward appearence. He is the one who changes people, not us. He is also the one who promotes people. We are not the judge nor the jury, it is not our responsibility nor right to decide who should do what. Leave that to God.

Let's focus on doing what God puts on our hearts and fight the real enemy; satan. As we fight not against flesh and blood but of principality and powers of darkness. If you find someone you don't agree with (and you will), pray for them. That God will give them wisdom in their endevour and bless them as they grow in knowledge and understanding.

I forward this to everyone I could think of that is or will be used of God because if you haven't had this challenge come your way through people, you may and I want this to encourage you.
We are powerful as a body of Christ, but weak only when we allow ourselves to fight each other.

God is a good God. Let's show the world just how great He is by how we treat one another!

What's Love Got To Do With It?

God calls His children to show love to everyone because He is love. We are to act as our Father because we are a part of Him and He is a part of us. When we show the World love they can see God in us. That is what will bring people to God and HE will be the one to subtlety bring change into their lives as they transform.

Condemnation is a thing of the Old Testament. Jesus came so that we don't have to live under condemnation. He even said in Luke 6:36-38

36 Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful.

37 “Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not
be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. 38 Give, and it will be given
to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be
put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be
measured back to you.” Therefore be merciful, just
as your Father also is merciful.

I have watched lives change so dramatically through the Holy Spirit's guidance as the people were shown love rather than telling them what they needed to change and making them feel that they are not good enough. One of the reasons Jesus died on the cross is because we could never be "good enough" to be a Christian or go to Heaven. People need to come to God just as they are. If we wait around to come to God because we have to fix this or fix that, we will never come to God. We cannot change on our own. We cannot make ourselves be "good enough" to be a Christian. It is ONLY by Grace that we are saved. NOT by works. (Ephesians 2:8) This World is desperate for God but until we get it right by just showing God's love, they will continue to be lost.

Our fellow Christians, our brothers and sisters in Christ should be treated with that same love that God commands us to with the World. Fighting and bickering among Christians is very displeasing to God. People watch us and when they see us turning on each other and fighting it only makes them want to stay away from us. We cannot be a good witness when we are back biting or back stabbing one another. We are held at a higher standard because we are to show the World a Great and Mighty God that loves and takes care of His children. Otherwise, why would anyone want what we have?? If we are fighting as the World does, and our lives are just as miserable as their's, then we have nothing that they want. However, if we become what God calls us to be Overcomers, Victors, and Conquerors who show the World and each other love; then we've got their attention and they will desire to have what we have; God!

I end with these scriptures:

John 13:34-35

34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

1 Corinthians 13

The Greatest Gift

1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I
have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. 2 And though I have
the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and
though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I
am nothing. 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and
though I give my body to be burned,[a] but have not love, it profits me
nothing.

4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not
parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its
own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but
rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all
things, endures all things.

8 Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will
fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is
knowledge, it will vanish away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part.
10 But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be
done away.

11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I
thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For
now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but
then I shall know just as I also am known.

13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is
love.
